Blac Haus, a new live-entertainment brand founded by Aishat Anaekwe, the brand executive behind Heineken’s Champions League and Formula 1 fan experiences across Nigeria, opens at Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island.
Blac Haus will hold its first event, The Frequency, on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2026, at Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island.
Eight DJs are on the bill, playing one after another from 6 p.m. until 3 a.m. They are Kikelomo, the Berlin-based Rinse FM host and co-founder of Oroko Radio; DJ Tobzy, the freebeat pioneer featured on Resident Advisor’s podcast; Azzi on the Beat, the NTS Radio host who has played Boiler Room Lagos; Sunrise, the DJ name of former Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria Munachi Abii; the Afro-EDM duo Maze x Mxtreme; WeAreAllChemicals; K.N.D; and Germany-based DJ Fabiyo.
There will be no headline act; instead, the night is built around a custom stage of illuminated cubes, with each DJ playing inside it, and a sound system designed for the park.
“We wanted to build a night that starts when the doors open, not when the headliner arrives,” said founder Aishat Anaekwe.
At Blac Haus, light is the headliner. Lasers cut through haze, beam moving heads and strobes sweep the park, and every cue is programmed to the music on one timecode. Admission is capped at 3,500 guests across the night.
Aishat has spent more than 15 years in brand leadership, at Nigerian Breweries, Johnson & Johnson, PZ Cussons and, most recently, Coronation Group, where she led brand and communications. At Nigerian Breweries, part of the Heineken Company, she ran Heineken’s Champions League and Formula 1 fan experiences in more than 20 states, and later led Life and 33 Export, the company’s biggest-selling brands, including 33 Export’s World Cup campaign with the Nigerian Football Federation. In January 2023 she was one of the producers of the first Beer With Us Festival, which drew more than 10,000 people to Landmark Beach in Lagos for Asake, Black Sherif and Seyi Vibez.
Doors open at 5 p.m. The event will be livestreamed on Blac Haus’s own channels. General admission starts from ₦20,000 and VIP from ₦50,000, with private tables by reservation. Current prices run until 8 November. Tickets are available at tix.africa/blachaus.
